At Sprawsm we have served a wide variety of clients and catered to their most diverse needs and helped them shape up their projects. Some we enjoyed, some we did for money, all in the line of work. However, recently we got a chance to work on something I personally wanted to work on for years – a productivity app.

There is something about productivity apps, to–do managers and project management apps that has always intrigued me. It’s probably because all the ones I used weren’t good enough as I thought they should be. I have even gone to mocking up an app for small team collaboration that we would eventually build in–house with Rendered Text guys, but needless to say that never happened, as client work always came first. A good part of my ideas that I used for the mockup of that imaginary app, has now gone into TheDeadline – although they were very similar to begin with, eerily similar – and I am very happy to know that they will actually going to become a reality.

We were approached by the guys from Freiheit.com who are working on a very cool little thing called TheDeadline. It’s by far the best to–do list manager I have ever used, and it is my job as a lead designer on this project, to make it work and look as good as it deserves.

So far we have been working on – and finished – the marketing site for the app.

A couple of days ago we have started to work on the app itself and I just can’t wait to be able to use it, and hopefully you will be able too. We are looking to completely redesign the user experience of TheDeadline that you will hopefully like, and if you are looking for some kind of a system to handle your tasks and even collaborate on them with other people – take TheDeadline into consideration as it will get a whole lot sexier pretty soon.
